I have added a few photos of the Lake Natoma Overnight that just went out this last weekend.  A great time was had by all.  Any participants reading this:  could you forward additional photos as I guess I got too busy and did not take many.  Thanks.  Go to the links below for photos and more information.  A write up follows the links.

Lake Natoma Overnight Photos

Blog Posting By Blair Robertson of the Sacramento Bee

Sunday 5:00 pm:  We got back today from Lake Natoma at about 3:00 pm.  What a great trip.  Rick cooked us a wonderful dinner of mixed grille that included marinated chicken breasts, sausage, grilled purple onion, and grilled red bell peppers.  With that we had potato salad, caprese salad, and for desert an almond cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.  What a great opportunity to get a lesson in camp cooking from a master and have dinner as a group out under the open sky.  It will be tough for me to ever go back to solo touring and my Top Ramen dinners cooked over a small alcohol stove.  Refreshments were available of various sorts, from Vince's (Two Rivers Cider) selection of flavored hard apple cider, to a small keg of Rubicon IPA, to white and red wines from One Speed Cafe.  (Who would of thought that red wine and roasted marshmallows were such a good taste combination.)  With this many refreshments the conversation was lively, especially during the glow ball Bocce Ball tournament after dark.  Breakfast was a selection of diced cantaloup and blueberries, various granolas, yoghurt, hot oatmeal, and of course coffee or tea.  As you can guess the touring cyclist needs plenty of fuel to put in those miles.  The weather could not have been better.  Everyone said they had a great time and are now clamoring for more Transpocycle and Edible Pedal outings.  Stay tuned for more outings later this summer.
